How To Clean Dyson Vacuum cleaner?

First, you must unplug the cleaner from the power outlet or turn off the machine for safety.

All Dyson vacuum cleaners are bagless, with a dust container as a dust capacity. So, cleaning the Dyson vacuum cleaner, you can remove the canister with just a press from the unit to empty it. 

The cordless Dyson canister can easily be empty; all you need to do is click or press the red button on the machine’s handle to put debris in the trash bin. Depending on the models, the canister can be placed differently, so check the manual thoroughly.

The next step is to clean the canister with a damp microfiber cloth. Dyson is forbidden to clean the cup with water, detergent, or any chemical. Therefore, only cloth is required, and compressed air is used for cleaning stuck dirt in the canister.

Dyson vacuum cleaner has the filter back of the machine in most models, and it can come out super easily by twitching. After that, you can see if it needs to be cleaned. 

Dyson has many models, and the filter place can be changed in each model. If you are unsure where the filter is, check the manual. 

Step-5: Wash and dry the filter

Most manufacturers suggest cleaning the filter in three months, depending on your cleaning. If you constantly clean massive debris, it is better to clean filters more frequently. 

Dyson every model arrived with a HEPA filter, which is washable; you can clean it with hot water. You can rub the filter until the last debris comes out of the sink. After the cleaning, the filter will dry for 24 hours at an average temperature in your home. 

Then make sure the filter is dry so you can attach it to the unit. But if cleaning can’t make the filter fresh, it must be replaced; generally, filters must be changed in 12 months.

You’ll need a screwdriver to open the brush roll. Usually, it is placed after the soleplate. The brush roll sweeps all the dirt, debris, and hair from the floor and other surfaces. 

So, it needs to be cleaned very often. Otherwise, it can get tangled or lose the ability to clean. And the long hair can be wrapped in the brush roll; you must slowly remove the hair with scissors. 

Remember that do not pull the hair; it can damage the vacuum. Then with a damp microfiber cloth, you can clean the brush compartment. Before attaching the brush roll, check if it’s dry. 

Step-7: Check the hose

Sometimes vacuum cleaner’s hose can be blocked by debris. Because of that, the vacuum can stop playing the ball and lose suction power. 

To check the hose, you must detach it from the wand if you see anything blocking it. Then, push if you have anything long or thin, like a mop handle.

Otherwise, fill the sink with warm water and white distilled vinegar, then submerge the hose into the sink for about 10 minutes. 

After that, leave the hose to dry for 24 hours and ensure it is fully dry before replacing it.

The vacuum cleaner’s other parts must be checked and cleaned if there is dirt or hair. Such as a crevice brush and mini motorized brush those required to clean, and you can clean them using a damp microfiber brush.
